Individual & Team Coaching
Individual Coaching
Individual coaching can be one of the most valuable ways to help harness thinking performance. It is an opportunity to create time for you to think and explore in complete safety; an opportunity to step away from the multitude of life’s many other distractions and focus on your priorities.
It can be difficult to know where to start when facing a challenge on your own, and sometimes it can be even more difficult to ask for help. My aim is to help you to find the ways to do the right thinking for you - which is different for all of us. I am not constrained by historical norms of coaching, but equally I am comfortable abiding by norms if that’s what helps you feel most comfortable.
We can work in a coaching space which suits your needs, either face to face, video/ voice calls or walking coaching in the outdoors. The latter can bring a different dimension to coaching and allow me to walk alongside you both physically and metaphorically, listening without judgement and using the outdoors as a unique and calming coaching space to aid your thinking.
Coaching relationships are built on trust, and I want our sessions together to be thought provoking, challenging and fun. Whilst we may discuss difficult and sensitive issues at times, and there will be serious moments, I also want our sessions to be enjoyable and rewarding.

Team Coaching
Team coaching can be a great way to enhance and accelerate your team performance, or indeed deal with some difficult challenges. It can be stand alone to focus on a specific aspect (or aspects) of your team thinking (which includes strategy, planning, decision making, emotional intelligence, culture & ways of working, team building) or it can be blended with several other aspects of the services I offer (such as facilitation, Emergenetics and De Bono Six Thinking Hats).
Every team coaching approach is tailored for you, and as with individual coaching, it is designed to help you and your team to harness your thinking performance in an approach, style and environment that works best for you.

Transition Coaching
We all go through many transitions in our professional and personal lives, and yet how many of us take time to think about the how, what and when that will help to ensure the transition is as successful and effective as possible - recognising that ‘no plan survives first contact’. How many of us go into a new role with a long list of vague aspirations and good intentions only to see them overtaken (or quashed) by something that, had we thought about earlier, we could have anticipated and headed off with contingency plans?
The thinking that we can do ahead of, during and into the early days, weeks and months of a work transition can mean a difference as extreme as resounding success or extreme failure. In my experience, the vast majority of people in the professional environment appear to spend little, if any, time properly preparing for a new role, new job, or even new responsibility. As a result they are unclear on what to focus on to ensure they can be successful - which hopefully is one of the reasons we take on a new role, job or responsibility in the first place.
Transition coaching is a specific form of individual coaching (although it’s worth pointing out that transition coaching can also be hugely effective as for team transitions too) focused on helping you think (and plan) to set yourself (and as a result, your new team, colleagues and boss) up for success, building the right foundations in the early period of a transition to accelerate to the point where you are able to actually ‘add value’ in the role.
